A: You need to have a bachelor’s level university degree* and you need to be a native speaker of English (this is determined by where you were born and where you went to school). Beyond that we strongly recommend that you are enthusiastic about helping kids and a good team player. This may seem like a redundant statement but I’m sure you can remember a teacher or two who clearly hated teaching. Our teaching positions are all “co-teaching” positions; you will be partnered with a local teacher who will assist you at school and during lessons, thus the need for strong team-work skills.

*Two years post secondary is required for the Internship Program.
