A: No. having TESL or TEFL is not necessary for teaching in public schools for GEPIK.  However, if you have earned your TESL or TEFL with 100 course hours then you will be in a higher pay category. If you have your teaching certification (BEd) and TESL and more than two years teaching experience then you will be in the highest pay category.
