A: In Korea all foreign English teachers need an E – 2 work visa. This visa is specific to being employed as an English Teacher. You first have to apply to work at a school in Korea. After you have been accepted by the school they will send you a letter of acceptance. You will then have to collect the following documents:

l         Visa issuance letter (letter of acceptance)

l        Actual passport

l         Visa application form

l         2 colour passport photos

l         Address of school, Director’s name and phone number

l         Photocopy of passport (photo side)

Take your acceptance letter with your documents to your nearest Korean embassy / consulate.
The Korean embassy will issue you with an E – 2 Visa in 2 to 3 business days.
