Traditional Korean Folk Village in Jeonju, Jeolla Providence (Oct 31~Nov 1)

This 1 night trip to Jeonju is to offer the opportunities for a wonderful 1 night staying at the traditional Korean-style house, having superb authentic Jeolla-do foods, seeing historical sites, and other experiences. Jeonju had been treated as one of main city of Baekje dynasty for a few centuries since year BC 18.  It is about 225km (140 mile) away from Seoul and expected time getting there is more than 3 hours or up to 4 1/2 hours depend on the traffic.  The traditional town has been well taken care of its originality for more than 100 years and many old historic sites are all over near the area.  Jeolla-do (providence) is very famous for its cuisine, voted as best regional food of South Korea and the city is well known for Bibimbam, served a bowl of rice w/ all the vegetable, a sunny side up egg, ground beef, and Gochoojang (hot paste).  We will get there taking a couple of vans or a car depend on the size or group and also will have a little Maggeolli party w/ our dinner on the 1st day.  By the way, everyone needs to sleep on the floor because no bed is found in the every single room since it is traditional Korean-style house.  Also we shouldn’t get loud especially during the night because the house we are staying for a night is one of local cultural property.  So if you guys want to hang out with others for the night, you may have to go somewhere else and comeback for sleeping.
